The Stormcaller Clan
The Stormcaller Clan is one of the five clans of the Stormcaller Orcs, and the name from which their name is from. They are led by the honorable Xunug, and he and his father are largely the proponents of societal advancement among the Orcs. At their direction the orcs have began trading again, seasonal farming, better smelting techniques, stone-craft, pre-preemptive hunting of beasts that might threaten the village. Most importantly, the Stormcallers have kept the tribe together. For the problems and disagreements that the Orcs face, somehow they have emphasized the importance of the law and kept the factions together. Even with the war-like nature of The Bleeding Moon Clan, the ingrained desire to uphold the code means that the are kept in line.
Public Agenda
Since its inception the goal of The Stormcallers has been modernization and progression towards being a civilized society like those of the humans around them. They have brought technology from the outside, better metallurgy techniques, a more democratic government and better rights among the citizens.
For their strengths, the Stormcallers have their weaknesses. Orcs thrive with a goal, and the stagnation of the village can only be attributed to a lack of leadership. The Stormcallers seem content with the state of things, and have made no effort to expand the tribal boundaries.
Assets
The Stormcallers are located on the upper most hill of the village. They have the largest and most prestigious forge in the area named The Anvil of Storms as well as the large clan hall where meetings about tribal matters are addressed.
History
The Stormcallers arose to power some 70 years ago during The Barbarian Invasion by the Barbarian King. Led by Thokgrim, the clan wielded lightning and defeated the barbarian invaders. Xunug was not born until late in his fathers life, and after his death, Xunug took power. He has continued his fathers goals and ambitions, and built a memorial for him as the "Savior of Storm's Call" in his honor.
