Dagúri the Stableboy

Dagúri Staró

In the stables, you see a small boy playing with a broom handle. He can't have seen more than a dozen winters, and he is rather short and lanky. The trousers and tunic he wears are covered in dirt and hay, and a few bits of hay are in his short brown hair. As he strikes out at the air with a satisfying "Ha!", you notice that he hasn't noticed you yet. He doesn't even seem to notice you until you're nearly next to him.   He drops the stick with a clatter and moves to grab the reins from you without a word. When you thank him, he smiles a little and you can see a kind tinkle in his brown eyes.

Intellectual Characteristics

Dagúri has a simple mind, and he doesn't spend a lot of time pondering things. He has enough trouble taking care of the horses to think about his condition.

Morality & Philosophy

Dagúri is still a child, and so has a very naïve way of thinking about the world. He likes to divide people into good people and bad people, and very much thinks of himself as a good person. His moral code is still underdeveloped, but he knows not to do illegal things unless he can get away with it.

  • He still has a lot of childlike fears of strangers, the dark, and monsters.
  • Personality Characteristics

  • He gets on well with Peri the Barmaid and Emet Kaldas, due to the three working together.
  • Other people may have heard of him, as he was a little more mischievous when he was younger.

His family work the fields near his house, and he still lives with them. He also has two younger brothers and a younger sister.

  • Taking care of the horses is something that he likes to do, and he would love to own one of his own someday.
  • Speech

He has a small, quiet voice, preferring to communicate in shrugs and smiles.
