The Forester Inn

As you near the end of another day on the Schinter Road, you can see an inn poking out of the small forest ahead of you. As you get closer, the well-made brick exterior of the Forester appears. A sign showing a green-dressed man with a bow swings on a pole in front of the small stone wall that surrounds the structure, and the sounds of merriment and the glimmer of candlelight carry from the open door of the inn.   Inside, you are quickly hit with a smell that is akin to moldy bread. You instinctively wrinkle your nose, but you can't seem to determine the source of the stench. What you can determine is the source of the light; candles are found on nearly every table in the packed interior of the inn and a roaring fire is located in a fireplace to your left. You see a couple of barmaids travelling among the assorted merchants and travellers, serving food and drinks. As they dodge around the guests, a band can be heard playing something in the far corner near the stairs.

Purpose / Function

This building is meant to service those travelling along the Schinter Road, which is evident from its location nearby that highway. It has warm cooked food, it is well-stocked with drink and supplies for travelling merchants or adventurers, and it has small rooms so as to save space.

Prices

The little rooms in this place are sold out at 5sp a night - having not much beyond two small beds, a table and two chairs - and those looking to purchase simple food and drink are expected to pay around 1sp for those amenities.

History

During the construction of the building's basement, the workers struck an aquifer which flooded parts of the basement area. Because of that, the basement and the ground floor of the inn have a serious problem with mold and dampness.
