The Wailing Wave Inn

As you travel around the town square, it is easy enough to locate the inn in question. A large brick structure stands before you, with wooden support beams that frame each of its four stories. It looks a little rundown, with many of the windows near the top of the structure having only one shutter left and the two windows that open onto the bar being smashed open. A green wooden sign just in front of the structure identifies it as an inn, but there is no indication of its name anywhere.   Inside, you can tell that this is a place where people go to roughhouse and fight. There is broken glass that crinkles under your boots as you walk inside, and you very nearly step on a drunkard passed out in the corner. Where you expect to find the innkeeper, you see a man lying across a chair, bottle in hand. It is loud here, and the sound from the various yells, cheers, and yelps from the patrons here is nearly deafening.

Purpose / Function

This place was supposed to be a popular inn to service travellers making their way to Losgate, but the violent and drunken nature of the clientele here means that most merchants know better than to spend the night here. Therefore, most who come here want to drink, and drink they do, very, very hard.
