Fir Bolg

The Fir Bolg, also known as the Fomóire, are descended from the Vrólg, the original Zmei inhabitants of Oileán Fiáin before they were displaced by the Fir Fáinne.

The Vrólg were a tall and muscular people, with a distinctive bronze hue to their scales. They had dark eyes, and were known for their physical prowess in battle. They were skilled in the use of spears, axes, and other weapons, and were feared by their enemies.

After their displacement by the Fir Fáinne, the Vrólg retreated into the pockets of the Dream that are tethered to the island of Oileán Fiáin. There, they were much more vulnerable to the pressures of the Egregoric Force, and have been distorted by the myths and legends applied to them by their conquerers. The Vrólg have become the monstrous Fir Bolg in the histories of the Fir Fáinne, and this has made them monsters in truth as well.
