The Mist Continent    Realms      Adronica

The Mist Continent Adronica, located on the planet Sefely, is so named for the magical cloud blanketing the land and surrounding water to a certain elevation, creating monsters beneath. Its major realms, the Kingdom of Fenellore, the Kingdom of Synfral, the Principality of Hardol, and the Nebograd Republic, are all built on highlands. Everything below is referred to as the Mistlands.

States

Fenellore

The Kingdom of Fenellore is a realm of pastoral lands positioned atop a plateau. Its capital, called by the same name, is a classical city of terracotta rooftops and cobblestone streets, positioned atop a plateau. Its founding marked the beginning of the Alpine Era, wherein settlements relocated out of reach of the malevolent Mistlands. It is notable for its Mistlands-focused museum, the Great Halls of Wisdom.

Listra

The nobility of Listra consider their city the centre of Fenellore's wealth, power, and beauty. Located on a steppe in the south of Adronica, it operates with a degree of independence from Fenellore. It is notable for its emerging arts and poetry scene.

Synfral

The Kingdom of Synfral is a cluster of settlements built on the faces of mountains and hills above the Mistlands. Its capital, called by the same name, is built on a steep incline, and requires airships to navigate. Synfral is known for developing the first mist-powered engines. It is notable for its industry and theatre district.

The Nebograd Republic

The Nebograd Republic is a city-state built upon a major crossroads of trade between the other realms, in the valley of a mountain range. It is governed by guilds and is home to the Dimidia —the largest arcane university in Adronica.

Hardol

The Principality of Hardol is a heavily fortified realm in the north of Adronica, partially submerged in the Mistlands. It is inhabited predominantly by dragonborn, and is known for its near-constant rainfall, as well as its elite orders of knights, which are trained in its capital of the same name.

The Mistlands

The Mistlands refer to the territory below the layer of mist, once inhabited by a myriad human settlements. While almost entirely bypassed due to the advent of airships, for many years after its informal abandonment, various trade roads and outposts were maintained. It is considered incredibly dangerous, with the increase in monsters across the lowlands attributed to the mist's arrival.
