Session 64 - Sigil

General Summary

After raiding Windrex's horde and stealing a few items, the Party decided to leave the Cyclone Citadel via teleportation portal to Txanponetan. They intended to ask Uanna Dezirinda to send them to the Feydark so that they could treat with King Kylar Bearcharger and get the Seed of Winter.   Unfortunately, Uanna was not home. A halfling (Sergeant Charlemagne Halfspear) and a leonin (Quartermaster Theg’draxan) did not appreciate the interruption. Their troops had nearly completed loading supplies onto the Txanponetan teleportation circle when the Party arrived. Fitzroy, the Txanponetan human wizard, prepared to cast Plane Shift through his wand.   The Party talked to the crew and learned that Uanna had traveled to the city of Sigil on the Outlands plane. Only there would they be able to talk to the tiefling leader and get her help in finding the Bearskinned King. They agreed to escort the barrels and crates to Sigil, accompanied by a young drow named Andrijana. The drow was very excited to meet the envoy from the Unseelie Court. According to Andrijana, the envoy was a Gloura, a magical underdark creature known for their good nature and powerful healing.   As soon as they arrived in Sigil, the Party realized how woefully uninformed they were. S’thom’s bag of holding unfolded and dumped their treasures all over the magic circle. Halflings, gnomes, shifters, tabaxi, and other nimble opportunitists rushed forward and snatched items from the pile. The Party struggled to stop them. Everyone’s magic powers were stunted.   Sigil was a strage-shaped city. Buildings sprouted from the ceiling—no, not the ceiling… The ground curved around them and upwards until it became upside down. As Red started walking, he suddenly found himself very lost on the opposite side of town. A friendly tortle grocer gave Red directions which included how to navigate the many portals throughout town. Sigil was also known as the City of Doors.   A friendly, hulking human named Henry “Tits” McGee offered to help the visitors get around town and carry their goods, but Gorgoroth decided it was just another scam to seperate them from their loot and coin. After an hour or two of exploration and back-tracking, Red secured the services of Bessy (a sentient oxen) and her cart, though at twice the price of Tits.   The Party wound their way up, up, down, down, left, right and more through Sigil until they found the enterance to Contra Conclave, a secret meeting spot used by Uanna and the Unseelie envoy. The tiefling met them at the door, heard their story and gave them an unfortunate answer: her spies indicated that the Bear King was not at home in the Feydark (was he ever?). She had reason to believe that he had followed the Hawk to another realm in the outer planes: the Beastlands. Hawk searched for a new pet for his lord. Bear hunted the Hawk.   Uanna ordered her lieutenant to escort the Party to a Beastlands portal.   Gorgoroth looked past the guard and saw someone waiting for Uanna in the conference room. The strange woman had large spider-like eyes and gossimer wings. Her skin was dark like a drow but she had horns like the tiefling.   It was Qix. He recognized her.   Gorgoroth remembered.
