Session 68 - Erthok
General Summary
Kylar Bearcharger demanded Erthok’s surrender. Erthok Huntinghawk refused. Gorgoroth wanted to facilitate a discussion. Neither elf was willing to back down.
The succubus, Erthok’s companion, released the infected animals from the crates on Vater von Berg’s sled. Erthok used the distraction to attack Kylar and incapacitated the Feydark King. Erthok’s goal was the Seed of Winter, but he told the succubus that the Seed wasn’t on Kylar.
When S’thom fired a Guilding Bolt from Aufklarung, Erthok recognized the Hexabeyance. He and the succubus targeted S’thom and rushed to take the lantern from her.
Gorgoroth blew flames on the stack of boxes from which the monsters crawled. They erupted in flames and began to burn von Berg’s lacquered sled. Luckily, the frost giant was distracted by the monsters attacking his winter wolves — he didn’t see the dragonborn catch the sled on fire.
S’thom, hit by an attack, fell from her perch on von Berg’s shoulder and the lantern fell into a snowbank. The succubus became insubstantial and dove into the snow, searching for the magical device while the ranger’s friends ran to her aid.
The lantern was recovered. S’thom and Erthok wrestled over it while Gorgoroth and Kylar dogpiled them.
A final blow befell the sucubus. Erthok promised to see her again in Hell as her material body burned away. Then he blew a whistle and summoned devils to join the fight.
