It's hard to tell what Ruby and Clip really think about each other. Their bickering is so consistent it's practically a feature of The Gang as a whole. Ruby's secretiveness clashes with Clip's pragmatism in the worst way and two often end up putting each other on the defensive. You could chalk it up to their various personal issues but really, they are just far too similar to make life easy for each other. In Albicant, they had a breakthrough regarding their miscommunications that, while not revealing much about Ruby's trust issues, did set them on a more empathetic path with each other.
