Remnant Aesir (Of Asgard)
Descendants of the ten survivors of Ragnorok, the Remnant Aesir are what is left of a once mighty kingdom. Since the cataclysmic fall of the Old Aesir, the race’s culture has shifted dramatically. Instead of glorious cities and incredibly advanced technology, there are now sparse and scattered tribal villages. Its been over 1500 years since the Old Aesir fell, and the Remnant Aesir haven’t had contact with any outside races since. They have had to survive and repopulate alone on an ever-changing world of jungles, mountains, and biomechanical organisms. By now, the stories of the Old Aesir have been long forgotten and/or regarded as myth. The one thing that has carried with them, is the commitment to never repeat their ancestors’ mistakes. Where the Old Aesir saw life and death as their playthings, the modern tribes hold the cycle of life and death in very high regard. They respect living things, and the constant march of change as integral parts of their lives. However, with each passing generation, the Aesir have grown stronger and more adept in many fields. Steadily, something new has been arising in the hearts of the Aesir people, and many believe it is directly connected to the changes happening around the great tree, Yggdrasil. Most have regarded it as nothing but superstition, that was until, the long dormant Bifrost reawakened, and unfamiliar faces began to appear in the ruins of their ancestors.
Naming Traditions
Family names
The Aesir have a unique naming tradition that can often make it difficult to track true lineages. The Old Aesir had the tradition of society granting names to indiviuals based upon their great accomplishments. When an indvidual would do something worthy of great honor, a descripitve title would be added to the name for it. Kalathan Foebreaker, Mira Starjumper, and Odin Allfather are such examples. An individual would bear his family name until he accomplished something greater than the previous namesake.
The Remnant Aesir however, have renounced this naming tradition as they have seen all the Old Aesir's accomplishments amount to ash and ruins in the end. Their society instead grants names to their people based upon character traits, and influences they and thir family have upon the tribe as a whole. These names are given as a sign of honor and respect, and can be taken away as a token of hatred and renouncement by the tribe. Until an individual proves the depth of their character enough to earn a name, they are simply distinguished by their tribes name. This can make it increasingly difficult to know who belongs to what lineage, but in the Aesir mind, lineage matters less than community. A large number of people being known by their tribe name only, creates a deep sense of family that connects all members, whether they be blood relatives or not. Ralan Grinbearer Mannaz, Harfor Braveheart Algiz, and Durkamor Mannaz are such examples.

Average technological level
The Aesir had to build their civilization from scratch. For the most part they are stuck with less than Medieval era technology. Huts, Fur clothing, fires, poor medicine, etc. However certain modern accomadations have been surfacing with the Old Aesir technology beginning to power up again.
Common Dress code
The Aesir have a code against men cutting their facial hair and thus have lots of it. They believe a man's facial hair carries the blessings of his ancestors. As such, to cut it is symbol of excommunication imposed by both living and deceased relatives. It is often braided or tied in some fashion.
