This Particular Neighborhood

This Particular Neighborhood houses The Cats (The Felidae), The Dogs (The Canis), The Insects (The Ensectas), The Snakes (The Ophidels), and The Birds (The Aves). It has a strange history that is different from many of the other Offenders' Neighborhoods. Although the other Neighborhoods teach relatively the same things, this Neighborhood leaves it up to the families as opposed to having one or two people teach each child about every criminal skill.

This Particular Neighborhood is a very small Neighborhood and very few other Offenders' who know or are even aware of it. One of the reasons why it is able to continue its strange way of training and testing their children without anyone knowing.

In this Particular Neighborhood, each family is allowed to teach their children whatever criminal skills they believe are necessary. Those skills are then tested in a three day weekend commonly called The Exams.

Government

This Particular Neighborhood is overseen by The Elders. These Elders are in charge of creating The Exams for that year, and will have the final say during the Exams. However, during any other time The Elders have no say in any familial relationship. Those decisions are left up to the families.

Each family in the Neighborhood as their own system of hierarchy. The Felidae having the most complicated by far.

Industry & Trade

Each family is known for some criminal craft. The Cats are known for their Mafia-like teams. The Dogs are legends in the world of mercenaries. The Snakes are infamous Drug Lords. The Ensectas are fantastic con artists. Last, but not least,, The Birds making some of the best heist and smash-and-grab teams.

History

Due to the founders being criminals much of the history of this neighborhood is lost, however, rumors still float around. Many say that this land was purchased through stolen diamonds. Two people say it was purchased through honest means, which does not make much sense. One person believed it to be purchased through the shedding of blood. Many doubt the validity of these rumors.

However, once the Neighborhood was established the founders believed it to be important that there be one rule, so they created The Exams and in doing so, created the first known and official rule in any Offenders Neighborhood: pass The Exams.

Architecture

The houses in this Particular Neighborhood are each unique to the families. Although the houses are usually redone, renovated, or completely destroyed and rebuilt depending on the family, they are all perfect for the new family.

The Felidae are basic, simple, and practical. The Canis’s are dark and almost impossible to see at night. The Aves houses are generally smaller than the others, but very functional. The Ophidels have the fanciest houses with prettier windows and fancier doors, while the Ensectas compete for the creepiest haunted house all year round.
