Heavily forested in the lower elevations with some peaks reaching alpine levels

Coidavel, the southern most peak, is an active volcano

There is plentiful ore if any willing to dealve deep under the Bitterbite.
History
Named by pre-Empire Explorer, Geloonai Henden. He and his party had chosen to flee upslope and found sanctuary from a group of bandits in a small cave. Winter storms had caught the bandits away from adequate shelter and they froze to death. Bitterbite in homage to the storm that saved them
