Lithic League
The Lithic League or Stone Federation is a loose collective made up of the allied Aethermin Clans on Ophelia III. So named because their main export is lithium mined from the atmosphere of the gas giant, the Lithic League possess significant wealth but are deliberately uninterested in the politics of the Ophelia System. The Cabinet-Chancery of the Ophelia System do not desire the Aethermin to wield their mercantile power politically - in addition to such a thing complicating the political dynamics, the Ecclesiarchy is prejudiced against Abhumans such as the Aethermin and wishes to keep them at arm's length. The Lithic League trades the vast majority of its mined minerals with the Adeptus Mechanicus of the Ophelia VII 'Dust Zone - raw materials for the ever-burning forges, and without a deliberate and studied disinterest in politics their influence would be unacceptably great. What began as a pragmatic concession has become ingrained as a cultural norm - Aethermin of the Lithic League are ignorant of the politics of the Ophelia system and the wider Imperium, and are concerned only with the acquisition of wealth, social stability and comfort.
