Auchendale

Auchendale felt an unlikely place for a city -- nestled amongst the Beverpar Foothills, large rolling hills overshadowed vast fields of yellow and orange wildflowers swaying in the breeze. Despite its cozy surroundings, the city was like a well-oiled machine, fueled by the booming precious stone and coal mining industry and run by the powerful Grimhorn Clan.
The city's central square featured huge market stalls and street vendors filled with gems of every kind imaginable. It was also common to witness traders from the gilded city of Nellona haggling with the locals for the finest specimens. Exporting gemstones and coal was their bread and butter, but the port town also drew in commerce from the surrounding towns and provinces.
Unfortunately, their affinity for trading drew the ravenous attention of the Dragonborne from Galadhor Keep. On occasion, the city was preyed upon by these fierce dragonborne warriors who charged through the city gates, wreaking havoc and pillaging with fire and steel.
Despite the threat of the Dragonborne, Auchendale forged on and the city streets bustled with the industrious spirit of its inhabitants. From farmers to miners, bakers to traders, they toiled away to sustain the city -- secretly thankful for the occasional disruption from the Dragonborne, for it injected excitement and high spirits into their otherwise mundane lives.
