Kahr Empire
"The Kahr Empire, a mere shadow of what it once was. Greatness, Liberty, Justice... things our kin, does not remember. But I do. Before it fell, we ruled the entire world. Now, the we stand powerless against the rising tide, and you will have to save us."
"The Kahr Empire, a mere shadow of what it once was. Ruled by a man, who should not rule. A man, who has caused the fall of the great Empire this once was. The only thing that stayed the same, is it's name. Greatness, liberty, justice... things from the days that our kin, does not remember. But I remember those days. I remember the days when Dwarves ruled the entire world. Now, the Dwarves stand powerless, against the rising tide, and you will have to save them."
The Kahr Empire is a Dwarven Empire in and around Sky Peaks. It's Capitol is Kahr Zen. It's ruler is Zemora. The Kahr Empire was once an empire that was incredibly powerful (as you can probably understand by the opening thing that I btw am incredibly proud of). Now it is much weaker than it once was, which has many reasons. But to keep things simple, I'll go against one of the biggest rules of history people (i don't know what they're called), and I'll blame one person for it. That person is, if you didn't figure it out yet, Zemora.
As you can see on my map (once I've uploaded it), the enourmous Ocean that lies in between Silmar and Timrrada is called the Kahrdon Waters which are named after this Empire. This is because the Kahr Empire was the first to sail over the seas, so they were also the first who discovered Timrrada. Out of everyone, they were the second empire ever to set sail, only being defeated by Elves because they are the type of race that would do anything to get to their powerstones, so they set sail to find them.. and they btw did, but that isn't important in the story about the Kahr Empire so I don't know why I'm telling it, but hey, those are details.
Timrrada was, for a long time, part of the Kahr Empire, and the locals who lived there, the Lizardfolk, were used in mines and such to get loads of riches. This meant allot of money for the Kahr Empire making it the strongest empire that ever has ever existed in the Reach. Sadly, things didn't keep going for long, because when the military power of the Kahr Empire started falling, so did the fear the inhabitants have against fighting the Dwarves. 340 years after Zemora took power, there came an uprising. The Dwarves lost by a long shot, because they had way to many wars going on. 3 years later, Humans did an attempt at collonising Timrrada, but they took a completely different view on doing it. Instead of taking everything by force, which was what the Dwarves did, the Humans tried making deals with the local population of Lizardfolk. This was beneficial for both the Humans and the Lizardfolk. Now, thousands of years later, Lizardfolk are just as common to be found in any place as any other of the four common intelligent species.
It borders the Dunredda Kingdom, the Mystical forest of Lorena, The Empire of Floe and the 10 Towers of Silmar. It also has a border with the Bay of Barmen.
Demography and Population
Territories
The Kahr Empire Holds all of the Sky Peak Mountains. It also holds parts of the Desert and plains around the mountains. This is because the Kahr Empire needs places where it can produce food. It also holds parts of the Plains to be able to have a direct port to a river. This is because all of the bigger Dwarven Cities all are under the mountains, where there are mines.
Military
It's military consists of the Semtian Orders. These are Dwarven Soldiers that fight for their homeland. The military also consists of Zementals. These are immortal Spirits that are incredibly powerful, so if I can give you 1 tip: don't go to war against the Kahr Kingdom.
Technological Level
Kahr Zen is famous for it's high levels of Artifacts and Magic (thechnomancy).
Religion
They Believe in the common gods. Still, they don't do whatever a god says. The inhabitants of the Kahr Kingdom are really Rationalistic. This means that they believe in science above their gods. If the gods say something is impossible (like traveling beyond the Reach), and science says that it is possible, then the Dwarves will believe that it is possible.
