The Hunter's Guild of the Silverwood

The Hunter's Guild is an independent entity comprising of of expert rangers who serve as protectors and stewards of the enchanted forest of the Silverwood. It is said that the Hunters were originally comprised of descendants of the Oakborn Circle, the secretive druids who first discovered the valley. Expert hunters and trackers, the Hunter's Guild makes it their job to protect the people of Silverpass from any natural threat from the forest, but more importantly they also do the opposite. Their charge is to protect the forest from desecration from wayward explorers and tourists.    During The Troubles at Silverpass, the Guild was almost completely destroyed by the creatures that rose from the forest. The only surviving member, Scout Ilaris Gerel, was rescued by the group of adventurers who would go on to defeat the Shade of Kyzarak the Unclean atop Argent Peak.   In the time since these events, Ilaris has taken up the role of Steward, and works to rebuild the Guild into something greater. He does this alongside the itinerant ranger (and former prospective Hunter) Aimon Tardi.    Since the reformation of the Guild, the organization has expanded their reach far beyond the borders of their home, seeking to protect small towns and villages from threats. Most notably, bandit activity in the The West Realm has seen a significant decrease since their reorganization.

Structure

The guild is led by an Arch-Hunter who dictates the rules and regulations of the organization. Any crimes perpetrated by visitors to the forest are adjudicated by the Arch-Hunter. Below the Arch-Hunter is the Lodgemaster, whose duty it is to maintain and staff the various structures built by the Guild, and the Huntmaster, who oversees the day-to-day operation of the Hunters in the field. The rest of the Guild is comprised of Scouts, Rangers and Hunters.
