Ven Silverfire

"The hall of King Trovik was filled with the echoing cacophony of a hundred different conversations, each word getting subsequently louder and louder in an effort to overcome the competing noise. A bright chiming chord sliced through the chorus, and all sound in the chamber was silenced. As the chord trailed off, a soft but commanding voice rose through the fading chime like a vine creeping up a garden trellis. There was no eye in Trovik's hall whose gaze did not fall on the statuesque elf, nor was there an eye that did not fill with joyous tears."
Ven Silverfire (aka The Bard)was a legendary elven Bard and Sailor. He was a master of the lute and lyre, a gifted sailor, and a prolific painter. Nobility often fought viciously to win the Bard's services. Though he was incredibly wealthy, Silverfire valued experiences above all else. He was a true student of the arts, and a masterful storyteller. Silverfire is considered by many to be the greatest bard to have ever lived.   For a reason that is still unknown, Ven Silverfire embarked on a grand voyage to Tau-Pelagai to the south of The Realm. His grand departure from Lightharbor is the last time anyone heard from Silverfire or his crew. Most believe Silverfire to have perished, either at sea or on the Islands. Some believe he never left The Realm, and instead used his voyage as a ploy to escape his fame.

Ven Silverfire: Revenant?

As of 2021 CA, the Bard Bastien Selar'wyn has become aware that the spirit of Ven Silverfire has been attached to him since birth, serving as a (mostly) quiet observer throughout Bast's entire life.

Silverfire has been able to briefly communicate with Bast either through visions or by evoking emotional responses. There have been a handful of times where Bast has conjure an aspect of Silverfire with whom he could speak, and thus has revealed the nature of Silverfire's existence as a spirit.   Silverfire was killed by an upstart noble-lord named Mukhtar al-Istiaq, whose reputation had been ruined by Silverfire in grand fashion. As an act of revenge, Silverfire believes al-Istiaq blackmailed, bribed, and otherwise coerced the crew of The Secret Chord to mutiny against the Bard during his fateful voyage. It was at the moment of his death, fueled by a depth of rage only an Eladrin would know, did the spirit of Silverfire find its way to the newly born Bast.   Siverfire is capable of "sensing" the lingering presence of al-Istiaq, and urges Bast to pursue those who bear his stink, for Silverfire similarly sensed this presence among the conspiratorial machinations of those who were responsible for the death of Bast's family...
