Duke/Duchess

Dukes and Duchesses oversee a number of Counts and Countesses. They usually have a city or at least a large town in their territory. The Duke or Duchess appoints one or more Barons or Baronesses to manage their settlements. Most Dukes and Duchesses answer directly to a King or Queen, but sometimes are instead subservient to an Archduke or Archduchess.
