River Gnome

The River Gnomes have been in these lands far longer than their Sea Gnome kin, longer even than the Elves . They ply the waterways from the Midr to the Mibr and all lakes, rivers, and steams in between. Most River Gnome vessels are passed from one generation to the next. They are relatively small in size, usually taking the form of a square raft with a cabin off to one side. These cabins contain a pedal system for propelling the craft.   Many River Gnomes make a living by trading fish with humans and other races along their journeys or by purchasing goods in one settlement and selling it in another for a slight markup.   Although they are only distantly related to Sea Gnomes they react with open arms and are more than willing to trade with them. Most gnomes are not overly opposed to the buying, selling, and use of slaves.
