Slave

Those lawfully or unlawfully owned by another and tasked with labour against their will.
Slaves have been permissible in many societies, but it has greater prevalence in Shrask, the Hrakken Empire, and the Grand Kingdom of Midrasus.
Slavery is not currently legal in the Western Coalition, but is legal in the City of Mibran.

Payment & Reimbursement

The vast majority of slaves are never payed for their labors.  If they are lucky they are fed and housed, but this isn't always the case.

Slave as a Player Background (D&D 5e)

Skill Proficiencies: Athletics, Survival
Tool Proficiencies: One tool that your master had you trained in.
Language Proficiencies: The language used by your owner.
Equipment: A simple weapon, broken manacles, shabby set of Common clothes, and a pouch containing 5 copper pieces.

Feature: Slave Mark

When you were first enslaved you were given a slave mark such as a tattoo, brand, or specific piercing.  This mark is usually in an easily visible area and may cause other to behave differently towards you, often showing sympathy, disdain, or sometimes open hostility.
