Subject: Large Scale Dimensional Displacement
Foreword
After an unusual aetheric anomaly occured during our monitoring of Eteras Medius, I was informed of the supposed similarities between the anomaly and my former capabilities. According to scans, an entire city had disappeared within a split second, leaving behind an aetherial signature where it once stood. My expertise on these matters once more sent me to investigate the planet's surface. While I was informed that my former disguise would be suitable for blending into society, I would rather not have my actions and identity, now occurring on two worlds at once, be pieced together by an overly curious Observer. For that reason I have decided to go under the alias of 'Tenshi', which reportedly means Angel in the native language. If I am sent to Eteras Minor, I will have to find another way to spin the latter segment of my name into a local variation. My arrival in a nearby village brought back memories of my childhood home, as if I was living in a recreation of the world I find myself in. Nostalgia aside, I was able to glean little information from locals about the event that had taken place, only finding information from a traveler on the road, for which I had to trade information for a favor. The Local population's attitude towards violence seems similar to that of Tyria, simply part of everyday life. The aetheric conditions of the atmosphere rival that of Tyria, a particularly high density allowing for the free usage of incantations that locals seem to wield in a method more closely tied to improvisation, blending their use to martial arts, rather than the learning of preset maneuvers. The flexibility is rather charming, but doesn't lend itself to documentation, repetition and immense firepower. I'll be relying on my own martial arts for this operation, taking this opportunity to apply my father's teachings in this area seemingly low on monsters. The Phantom City of Teichi
Arriving in the area that used to be the city of Teichi brought back a sense of nostalgia. The aetheric disturbance in the air bore all the signs of physical matter having been displaced into another realm, yet still bearing a connection to its former location, leaving behind an ethereal vision of what was once rooted to the ground. This is a connection most can only perceive by sight alone, as the aether that seeps through from the other realm attempts to keep the position of what was once there reserved in case it wishes to return. There's a distinct scent to the phenomena, one easily overlooked due to the remnants of the city's smells. The scent allows one to perceive the presence of a being phased into another realm, one who seeks to hide their presence. As I've personally never encountered anyone capable of perceiving this scent in the midst of battle, this has made phasing especially effective when needing to lay low or reposition. In my personal experience, phasing requires two different realms, making it distinct from teleporting, where one only moves between two locations within the same realm. My own phasing involved the use of my mental plane, otherwise referred to as a Mindscape. There's strategic advantages to phasing physical matter to the mindscape, as one has complete control over what happens to it there, even if they defy the physical limitations of the Realm of the Physical. Yet I've also seen Voidlings such as Pricia the Observant phase into The Aetherial Void during battle, allowing her to refuel her immense stocks of aether in the process. While I am unable to determine where exactly the city has been phased to, I was able to identify the location of the phaser, whom I will attempt to interview soon.Purpose
Part of regular correspondence of a League Agent, Tenshi documents his findings on the individuals he interacts with on foreign worlds so other agents are better informed on what to expect in the field.
