Interested in archeology and geology; was exploring the mines in Embereth when they found a strange artifact, which after taking back home promptly disappeared in the night. When Zahiri woke up, they found that they had new tattoos and sorcerous abilities. Wants to understand their magic and find out the origin of their powers; applied to Nightcrest to do that, but also to learn how to protect and help people.
