Mazan (a.k.a. The First Lycan)
Mazan is said to have once been a mortal hunter who ventured into the Feywild; there he encountered the legendary Baba Yaga, to whom he introduced himself as "the greatest hunter in all the wilds" when she asked who he was. "Ah, but you are so much less a hunter than you could be!" was Baba Yaga's famous reply-- shortly thereafter cursing Mazan to transform into a great beast in the light of the next full moon. Thus the First Lycan was born, and it was not long (according to the stories, at least) before Mazan spread his curse among the mortals he had once lived among. Now Mazan is an Archfey himself, known as one of the most savage hunters in the Feywild. This reputation has earned him a place among the Unseelie Court, and it is said that Mazan is always the first to be invited to the Wild Hunt by Cernunnos when the time comes each year.
