The Green Lord
Lord Oberon (a.k.a. The Green Lord; The Spring King)
An elder Archfey who wields druidic magic, Oberon is one of the most powerful members of the Seelie Court outside of Titania herself. While he is often called "The Spring King" due to this elevated status in the Court, Oberon is tied to the changing of seasons moreso than Spring itself. Legends (and historical accounts) say that Oberon lives an entire mortal life every year, aging as the seasons change; he dies of old age as each Winter comes to a close, only to be reborn as a child when the first Spring flowers blossom. He is usually portrayed as either an regal, bearded elf man or as a young, smiling elvish boy-- the two extremes of his yearly transformation. Oberon is a shepherd of growth and change, and is a terrible foe to those who seek to disrupt the natural order. That said, he has more often been an ally to the mortals of Raen'dor than an enemy, and even ruled the city of Nelenor fairly for centuries before ceding lordship to Glynden Lothaire.
