The First Archon

This foreboding figure is mostly regarded as a monster. Their affiliation and leadership of the Diamond Sect of the Crimson Jewels also puts them at direct odds with Sanguine Sunrise. They were first encountered at the dwarven mines near Secomber, bending the rightful owners to their will, so they may continue whatever operation was occurring there. This encounter soon turned deadly when the Archon began crushing Arborea Wylde's throat with their boot. As Azada moved in to save her newly found mentor, the First Archon let out a blast of blood curtling energy that killed both Azada and the party's pet, Pep. In the groups travel to Waterdeep, the First Archon terrified Arborea with some unknown means and confronted Luthrin in a strange power struggle between two figures who seemed to see themselves as properly fit for leadership.
However, The First Archon is not just a monster. He is highly compassionate for all his companions, and assuming you can trust the words out of his mouth, all life in the world. His compassion for his companions works out well for the Archon who frequently suffers from bouts of depression and delusions that are fortunately calmed by his close friend Rembrandt, yet his compassion for life seems at odds with his actions. He seems to believe that a few gruesome deaths for just a little while longer will prevent more suffering from occurring throughout the world in the long term.
Whatever you view the First Archon as, he is a talented person. They have an affinity for dragonchess, and despite his professional title placing him as a warrior, he is equally skilled in handling the politics required to run a hidden blood cult.

The First Archon is an active figure, but he lacks strength compared to most of those who follow him. To account for this, he seems to gain some mysterious power that bolsters him and his blade in combat.
