Defence Class Heavy Frigate

With the talks in what would becoem the Rift system begining to stall the Elysian navy sought to replace its ageing heavy frigates, and with the outbreak of the War Of The Cluster and its outdated predecessor's lacking preformance the Defence Class was rushed into production in 1099 AE. The Defence Class would prove to be an excelent ship outclassing any other midweight ship for the rest of the war, this would earn the class a great deal of love from both the public and military. In the years after the war 23 ships of the Defence Class would be decommisioned due to cost while the rest would serve the Elysian Empire faithfuly, but after the better part of a century the ship has become outdated and is now seeing its replacement, the Arashi Class, come into production marking these years as its final years of service.
