Personal history

Daughter of Arthur and Genevieve Nightingale, Willow is the only one left in the family to carry on it's name. Her brother was murdered by an assassin when she was 10. A few months later, Willow discovered her family's involvement with the criminal underworld, and was horrified to find this was the cause of he brothers death. That same night, a deity visited her, telling her she should find a new path for herself, and that she belonged out in the world, helping others in danger. From then on, Willow had her heart set on helping others and one day escaping her family.
Six years later, Willow finally decided it was time for her to leave. She grabbed a handful of coin and wrote a letter to her mother telling her everything. Willow loved her mother, despite the fact she was caught up in dangerous business. Willow knew it was her father's doing, and she intended to one day find a new place for her mother to hide. Willow wrote another letter, this time not a secret. She told her father he was a disgrace and not to come after her. After that, Willow was on the run. A few close calls with shady people and groups told her that her father was trying to find her, and kidnap her back. Willow had managed to keep hidden but it was sometimes difficult to hide due to her one white eye, something passed down in the Nightingales genetics. Her mother had the same. To combat this, Willow fashioned an eyepatch. She only wears it when around many people as it makes things harder to see.
Four years had passed since she left, and she had changed a lot, growing into a young adult. Occasionally Willow and her mother passed secret letters, her mother accepting of Willows dream. Willow continues to have interactions with her patron, through dreams/notes, and messages from strangers.
Her family mainly work in the criminal world, with the façade of working in alcoholic beverages.
Her father, Arthur, pays criminals to do dirty work for him, Genevieve her mother knows a little about this, but tries to stay out of it. Arthur makes his money by offering his men's talents of assassinating + spying + smuggling, which other bigger companies use, the nightingales have a lot of information on other big businesses but they keep them secret as long as the other big names do. 
The nightingales own a chain of brothels in the Moonhollow + Crystalfront areas, with some in Izalona and Insanora (the surrounding cities). The chain is called The Darkened Spirit. Arthur's alias as owner would be The Crow. He would keep his identity on the down low, he would be a spell caster and able to cast alter self.
