Crommog

Crommog is the westernmost mountain in the Forges, a volcanic mountain range. It is a double-peaked mountain; a narrow pass winds between its peaks, and is one of the routes mountain people take to the lowlands (though not that many people come that way on foot any more.   Crommog is mostly covered with dense conifer forest. At its southern base is Aven Crum , a long lake fed by the Tenneril River. Upriver from Crommog are River dwarf settlements and beyond them, wood-elf peoples; downriver is Malfa.   The trading town of Bal Mallard sits at Crommog's foot, by the eastern mouth of Aven Crum. The vilage of Glannock is now partway up its flank, after a terrible storm altered the landscape 80 years ago.   Locals sometimes talk about Crommog as a person ("two-headed Crommog is angry today" during a storm), but this doesn't seem to be anything but a colourful metaphor. On the other hand, some people do venerate the spirit of the Crommog forest as a local deity.
