Hewell

The Okunnen, the dominant dwarf culture of the Forges, refer to themselves as Hewellen, the people of Hewell. He is a folk hero-ancestor, the dwarven smith who first used magma pockets as forges to craft magic. This knowledge has been passed down as religious mystery/trade secrets ever since. Being Hewellen means simply knowing Hewell’s secrets, and being responsible for safeguarding them.
In theory, anyone can become Hewellen, by being such a good artificer that you earn Hewell’s secrets. No one has ever heard of this actually happening, but perhaps it has in the past.
