Composition

Structure

  • Magnus Dominus (Grand Master): An Order of the Round Table is led by a person holding the title Magnus Dominus (Grand Master), they are the executive head of the Order and formally represent the Order in all matters outside of the Order.
  • Division Princep (Division Head): An Order is composed of 20 Divisions, these Divisions are the bulk of the Order's forces and each Division is made up of anywhere from 10 Chapters at a minimum to 35 at a maximum. The Division Princeps sit on the Small Council of their Magnus Dominus and advise them on matters about the Order and its function.
  • Caput Captain (Chapter Captain): A Division can, at a minimum, be composed of 10 Chapters and Each Chapter is under the command of the Caput Captain. Chapters are composed of Knight Companies, Dragonrider Fleet, and Draco Bellatores Battalion. The Caput Captains sit on the Division Princeps Small Council. The Caput Captain is selected from the Dragon Knights.
  • Societas Capitis (Company Head): Each Division Chapter has 1 Company of Knights and each Company is led by a Societas Capitis. The Company is composed of six Fireteams and each Fireteam is led by a Fireteam Dux (Fireteam Captain) that is elected among themselves. The Societas Capitis advises the Caput Captain.
  • Magister Classis (Fleet Master): Each Chapter had 1 Fleet of Dragonriders composed of 12 Dragons, led by a Magister Classis who sits equal to the Societas Capitis and both sit on the Caput Captain Small Council.
  • Draco Bellator Generalis (Dragon Warrior General): Each Division Chapter has 1 Draco Milite Battalion, composed of 20 Companies, led by the Draco Bellator Generalis. The General sits equal to the Magister Classis and the Societas Capitis, all three sit on the Caput Captain Small Council and advise them on matters of the Chapter.
  • Draco Bellator Company Caput (Dragon Warrior Company Head): Each Battalion of a Division Chapter is composed of 20 armed Companies, each led by a Company Caput. The Companies are composed of 245 Draco Bellatores (Dragon Warriors) who make up the bulk of a chapter's soldiers. The Company Caputs sit on the Draco Bellator Generalis Small Council and advise them on matters of the Battalion.

Ranks of the Knightly Order
Sansovino Designation refers to the type of Division/Chapter. Knights of the Cross ♘ are Knights charged with carrying out the primary military actions of the Order, dispatched to slay Daemons and bring justice to lost Realms. Knights of Spur ♔ Knights are charged with a specific task, location, objective, or operation, such as operating within a system at a permanent or long-term station. Knights Necklace ♗ Ornamental Knights for things such as the operation of locations, guarding, or master of ceremonies.
  • Grand Knight: The Grand Knight is extremely experienced and well-versed in the art of war and the tongue of violence. The Grand Knight could only hold the title of Magnus Dominus (Grand Master) or Division Princep (Division Head).
  • Knight Banneret/ Landed Knight: The Banneret Knight was a 1st Class Knight who was permanently stationed at a location as either the authority of that location or the highest ranking Knight of the place. 1st Class Knights who were made Lords or Ladies of planets or Realms were made into Banneret Knights, with the authority to command Round Table Knights under their banners for their purposes, bolstering whatever forces native to the planet. They could only hold the title of Caput Captain (Chapter Captain) or Societas Capitis (Company Head) of their location, no higher, no lower.
  • Knight 1st Class: Knights of this rank are highly valued for the experience they have from being a Knight of the Cross and a Knights of Spur. 1st Class Knights can be made Caput Captain (Chapter Captain) of either a mobile Chapter of Knights or a stationary Chapter as they have the experience for both.
  • Knight 2nd Class: Knights of this rank are typically only found at permanent or long-term stations of the watch, garrisoned on some fortress world or holding the line at a Mortal Realm outside of Midgard. 2nd Class Knights are the first rank that can assume leadership of a Company as a Societas Capitis (Company Head) on permanent or long-term stations. 3rd Class Knights in this case can only lead Fireteams as Fireteam Dux (Fireteam Captain).
  • Knight 3rd Class: Knights of this rank could be both Societas Capitis (Company Head) or Fireteam Dux (Fireteam Captain), but must first be Fireteam Dux on no less than 25 successful missions, having been elected to the position by their peers on all 25 occasions before they can be elected as Company Head.
  • Knight Errant/ Knight Bachelor: "Errant" is an adjective that typically means "wandering" or traveling in search of adventure. Errant Knights are Knights who are not stationed long-term at any particular location. These Errants typically operate in much smaller teams and on sensitive missions or objectives. Bachelor Knights are honorary Knights, a title given to all Squires who are either missing in action or died on the path to knighthood. It is also used for individuals who are not formally a part of the Knightly Order but still serve it. Errant Knights are eligible to be Fireteam Dux (Fireteam Captain) of a Fireteam of Knights.

Ranks of the Draco Bellatores
  • Primus Draco (Supreme Dragon): The highest-ranking officer, usually the commander-in-chief or the leader of the Draco Bellatores. Can hold the title of Draco Bellator Generalis (Dragon Warrior General). The Supreme Dragon rank also allows one to command multiple Battalions at once.
  • Bellator Praefectus (Warrior Prefect): Second-in-command, responsible for assisting Primus Draco in strategic planning and overseeing various companies. Can hold the title of Draco Bellator Generalis (Dragon Warrior General) themselves if they are found lacking the needed experience for the rank of Primus Draco directly. Can hold the title of Draco Bellator Company Caput (Dragon Warrior Company Head) but typically serves directly under the Primus Draco.
  • Draco Major (Major Dragon): Senior officers who lead large units or divisions within the Draco Bellatores with the title of Draco Bellator Company Caput (Dragon Warrior Company Head). Draco Majors can only lead Companies.
  • Draco Centurion (Centurion Dragon): Officers responsible for commanding Companies as a Draco Bellator Company Caput (Dragon Warrior Company Head).
  • Draco Custos (Guardian Dragon): Elite soldiers tasked with protecting high-ranking officials, important installations, or valuable assets.
  • Draco Tribunus (Tribune Dragon): Junior officers responsible for leading squads or platoons within a Company.
  • Draco Miles (Soldier Dragon): Enlisted soldiers who form the backbone of the Draco Bellatores. They are trained in various combat roles and specialties.

The Draco Ingenium & Machina Corps
The Draco Ingenium Corps is a specialized division within the Draco Bellatores responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of military equipment, structures, and infrastructure. Comprised of highly skilled engineers, technicians, and craftsmen, the corps applies principles of science and technology to innovate and enhance the organization's capabilities in support of its strategic objectives. Members of the Draco Ingenium Corps possess expertise in various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and aerospace engineering, enabling them to adapt and respond effectively to the diverse challenges encountered in the field of warfare.
The Draco Machina Corps is a highly specialized division of the Draco Bellatores dedicated to the maintenance, operation, and exploitation of advanced technological systems and equipment. Comprising skilled technicians, cyber specialists, and information warfare experts, the corps is responsible for ensuring the functionality, security, and effectiveness of the organization's digital infrastructure, communication networks, and cyber capabilities. Leveraging cutting-edge technology and cyber warfare tactics, members of the Draco Machina Corps defend against cyber threats, conduct electronic warfare operations, and exploit enemy vulnerabilities to achieve tactical and strategic objectives on the modern battlefield.
Both Corps used to operate separately but were later joined by the Chief Engineer of the Ingenium Corps and the Chief Technologist of the Machina Corps to streamline functionality and logistics. Outside of the I&M Corps directly, independent contractors can and usually are hired either directly by the Order itself or by the I&M Corps. These contractors are classified as Armory Divisions under the I&M Corps.
The Draco Sanitas Corps
The Draco Sanitas Corps is a vital component of the Draco Bellatores dedicated to preserving the health and well-being of its personnel in all operational environments. Comprising highly trained medical professionals, including physicians, surgeons, nurses, and medics, the corps provides comprehensive medical care and support to wounded, injured, or ill soldiers both on and off the battlefield. Equipped with advanced medical technology and techniques, members of the Draco Sanitas Corps excel in triage, emergency medicine, surgery, trauma care, and preventive medicine, ensuring the readiness and resilience of the organization's fighting force. Led by the Chief Medical Officer.
The Draco Venator Corps
The Draco Venator Corps is an elite reconnaissance and intelligence-gathering unit within the Draco Bellatores specializing in stealth operations and surveillance. Tasked with gathering critical information, assessing enemy capabilities, and conducting forward reconnaissance, members of the corps operate clandestinely behind enemy lines to provide invaluable situational awareness and strategic advantage to the organization. The Custodes Draconum
The Custodes Draconum, revered as the Keepers of the Dragon, constitute a sacred and honored religious body within the Dragon Cult. Tasked with the solemn duty of tending to the majestic and ancient Dragons, they serve as the custodians of all logistical aspects of these revered creatures. Central to their mandate is the meticulous care and maintenance of the Dragons under their stewardship, ensuring their physical and spiritual vitality through proper feeding, grooming, and healthcare. The Custodes Draconum oversees all logistical aspects essential for the sustenance and upkeep of the Dragons, from procuring and provisioning supplies to attending to their unique needs. While primarily focused on the logistical needs of the Dragons, the Custodes Draconum foster close collaboration with Dragonriders and allied forces to ensure seamless coordination in fulfilling their shared mission of safeguarding the realm and upholding the legacy of the Dragon Empire.
