Artist

Artists make the paintings and sculptures of The Dusk. Artists are not common in The Dusk, and fewer still have found patrons to make them wealthy. The term, "starving artist" has a much more practical meaning in Doskvol.
Prestige: Artists are not well understood by Duskers. The impractacle nature of their work often has them looked down upon as a waste of time and resources. That said, it is common for the elites to patronize an artist, treating them as a kind of pet to compete with the pets of their friends.
Accoutrement: Artists come in all types, and most can barely afford the tools of their craft. A few are well paid by their patrons. As a result, they will have all the trappings of wealth, but be very out of place. A paint stained ballgown is a dead giveaway for an artist.
Training: Artists will vary in their training. Most, however persue their craft in the face of mounting disapproval and failure. As such, the persuit of a career as an artist is arduous.
