Inspector
The Inspectors (aka “Constables”) investigate crimes and present evidence for warrants and trials. Inspectors are appointed by the Lord Governor of the city. Inspectors are often foreigners, with no close ties within Duskwal.
The Inspectors are famously incorruptible and hold themselves apart from Doskvol’s sprawling network of bribery... [1]: 248
Prestige: The inspectors are not well liked. They are considered busibodies and troublemakers who are too unreasonable to take bribes. This typically does not bother them, because they are usually focused on whatever case they are working on at the time.
Accoutrement: Inspectors get a badge and not much else. This badge gives them access to many places in Doskvol that they would not otherwise have access. It also makes many areas unsafe for them.
Training: Inspectors are chosen usually from other city watches in the empire. Very rarely, a Bluecoat will be selected as an inspector and shipped off to some other city.
