Jailer

Jailers keep the law abiding citizens of Doskvol insulated from the criminal element. That is, except there aren't any law abiding citizens in The Dusk, and they are usually the ones responsible for the jailbreaks, after a respectable bribe.
Prestige: Jailers are not well respected. They are known to be corrupt and accept bribes. Most are tolerated for the potential of leveraging their position. Many people will cozy up to them in the off chance that they hold the key to their future cell. This makes them insufferable.
Accoutrement: Jailers carry a truncheon, and usually do not carry a weapon. The long rifles in the towers of Ironhook are usually enough firepower. Besides, you wouldn't want a prisoner to lift your pistol. The most important thing the jailor carries are the keys.
Training: Jailers typically don't get formal training. Most are off duty bluecoats or bruisers looking to make some extra slugs. If you can swing a truncheon and lock a cell, you have what it takes to be a jailor.
