Orwick Rescue

Raiding merchant ships, the Dawnscythe destroys the ship transporting the Orwick family. Captain Varindra rescues the family from the listing ship and takes them to his sister in Brassica, and vows to leave the Stormbreakers. The pirate faction allows his departure, on the agreement that he owed them a non-specific favour, to be called in at a later date.
