Saint Gobnait’s Wood

Saint Gobnait’s Wood is a protected area of oak woodland at Baile Bhuirne, County Cork, Ireland. To humans, the forest is a preserve that is home to various species of bats and the Kerry slug, animals protected under the Habitats Directive.—Source   To the Fae, Saint Gobnait’s Wood is home, hosting the Kingdom of the Fae.

William Shakespeare

After bumping into real-life Fae, William Shakespeare exposed the Fae to the world (explicitly naming King Oberon and Queen Titania) in his play A Midsummer Night’s Dream, but no one believed the fantastical Kingdom of the Fae was a real place.

The Council of Ancients

The Kingdom of the Fae protects The Council of Ancients by providing a safe location to gather in Saint Gobnait's Wood, where it is protected and hidden from prying eyes by powerful Fae magic.

Geography
