Fae

The Fae are the most powerful supernatural creatures who shift been a small, three-to-five inch being with wings like a dragonfly to a human-sized being. As Fae cannot shift (shrink/grow) their clothing, they are often naked but naturally invisible to humans and human sensitives unless they want to be seen.
Although the term Fae applies to both Fairies and Faeries, the Fairies refers to those who willingly rejected Lucifer and call themselves the Children of the Sun. They bask in the light of the Creator and want nothing to do with the dark. Faeries refers to those who reject Lucifer and the light, conducting themselves in a manner that purports their reputation as evil, horrid, and mischievous creatures known for stealing children to keep them as slaves or pets.
Like the Spellcasters, the Fae are born into magic. The eyes of the Fae glow bright yellow when they are active or using their powers. The arch-enemy of the Fae are the Soul Hunters.

At Lucifer’s suggestion, members of the Nine Choirs of Angels believed his empty promise that they could become just like, if not stronger, than the Creator. He convinced them the necessary ordering of the Angelic Choirs was meant to control the Creator's more powerful creations and prevent an uprising in heaven.
With Lucifer leading the charge, a massive battle shook the heavens. As it turned out, Lucifer was vainglorious and wanted everything for himself. When his followers realized the scale of the deception, the Creator had already cast judgement upon the lot of them. Upon falling from heaven, Lucifer turned all of his fallen followers against one another so they could never, ever do what he did to the Creator.
Those who would later become Fae fearfully watched their traitorous leader twist and manipulate the fallen into demonic creatures hellbent on destroying the Earth and all of Creation. Using what power they had left to protect themselves, most of the Fae escaped Lucifer’s wrath and rejected his plans for wanton destruction, vowing to defend Creation from his heinous plans. Unbeknownst to them at the time, Lucifer had succeeded in slightly twisting their minds, creating the mischievous—or deadly—aspects that took root in ancient folklore. When the Fae realized what Lucifer had done to them, they gathered their numbers—those who where not lost or too far gone—and set in place magicks to counteract his evil manipulations.

History

After bumping into real-life Fae, William Shakespeare exposed the Fae to the world (explicitly naming King Oberon and Queen Titania) in his play A Midsummer Night’s Dream, but no one believed the fantastical Kingdom of the Fae was a real place.
