Councilor Edward Dawnspear is an elderly member of the Baldur's Gate Parliament of Peers.
In late 1491, the unmarried Counselor Dawnspear became concerned about his apparent lack of an heir and began throwing lavish parties to try and curry favor with the city's elite to find a noble willing to sponsor and recognize his bastard daughter Lysenna Cross. The Breadwinners, the group of adventurers that would go on to be heroes of the Great Dragon War, convinced their patron Jessabelle Leonin to sponsor Lysenna in exchange for Dawnspear's support for raising an army to combat the Cult of the Dragon
