Lephit Ezim is an
Elturian mageand one of the few magic users of the city to survive the
Damnation of Elturel.
History
When Elturel was first sent to
Avernus and the forces of hell and the
Hell Knights began hunting down magic users, Lephit managed to escpae their notice by hiding at
a Pair of Black Antlers, a tavern in the city and informal headquarters of the
Order of the Gauntlet. By the time she had arrived, the Order of the Gauntlet had already left to regroup with the suriving
Hellriders at
Helm's Shieldhall, but Lephit was nonetheless able to avoid detection by hiding in one of the tavern's upstairs rooms with the spell
Rope Trick.
As Lephit planned to leave, however, demons in service to the
demon lord Yeenoghu arrived to trash the tavern, turning it into one of their bases of operation within the city. Lephit, unable to escape, remained hidden in her room, hiding with
Rope Trick everytime a demon drew near.
Lephit was thankfully saved by the
Lost Star Detectives, a group of adventurers seeking to save Elturel, when they arrieved at a Pair of Black Antlers and killed the demons inside. They escorted Lephit to
Shiarra's Market, which had transformed into a safe haven guarded by the
vampire Klav Ikaia and his
dhampirs, but they convinced Lephit to join them and the Hellrider
Niri Whistlewood when they crossed Torm's Blade to the western districts of the city.
Lephit, however, was either unwilling or afraid of using her magic, and had to be coerced by the Detectives multiple times before she would help them in their various fights as the group made their way to
High Hall, where Lephit chose to remain with the other refugees there.
During the
Battle of Elturel, Lephit aided in the defense of High Hall, though only from the backlines and predominately with support magic in order to stay safe.
