Nihan Li was an alchemist in the Styes that was well respected among all the town's committee members and was well known for his strange sense of humor and theatrics.

History

Nihan was born in 1451. In his twenties, Nihan moved to the Styes in the pursuit of alchemical study, knowing the decayed city had no regulations that could prove troublesome. While there, Nihan became the apprentice of Ludolf Owlbear and became something akin to the adopted son to Mr. and Mrs. Owlbear.
Nihan also formed a close friendship with another magical apprentice, Roger Pistrany, though the two had a falling out brought on by Roger's jealousy of Nihan's success.
Nihan eventually became a full fledged alchemist and took his own apprentice under his wings, Diz Iberon, though Nihan treated the poor poorly, mostly instructing the boy to perform menial tasks and manual labor. Over the next few years, Nihan, despite being an alchemist and thus primarily aligned with Committee Member Thornwell, managed to become well-liked among all four members of the Seaton Committee.
On the 24th of Tarsakh, 1492, Nihan threw a murder mystery birthday party and sent invites to all the committee members. However, the only arrivals at his party were Diz Iberon, Mrs. Owlbear, his former ex Kira Night, Shoestring, Ventha and Roger, now going by Pathos Gloombright. To Nihan's surprise, Gloombright's gift was a necromantic soul stealing device, that killed Nihan upon opening. Pathos planned to steal away the device and take Nihan's soul, but he was stopped and killed by Ventha and Shoestring.
