The Empty Net

The Empty Net is one of the three taverns in Saltmarsh, catering primarily towards the town's seedier elements, particularly its smugglers. 
The tavern is owned and operated by a man only known as Crab, who covertly acts as an agent for Gellan Primewater, a member of the Saltmarsh Town Council and the financier of all the town's smuggling. 
Though Crab originally ran everything himself, since 1496 he's taken on an assistant, a lizardfolk named Earwig from the Sunny Shore Tribe, who is paid almost exclusively in food and lodging. 
There are limited rooms for rent at the Empty Net in addition to the food and drink offered.
