The Holy Bud

The Holy Bud was a Kuo-toa created deity that was created from various alcohol bottles consumed by lighthouse keeper Major Ursa and disposed of by his friend Pauline. The bottles disposal was witnessed by kuo-toa, who viewed the act as a divine message. The kuo-toa's collective belief allowed the bottles to form into a divine protector of the creatures. 
On the 26th of Eleasis, 1496, adventurers Micah Pierce and Lyra found the Holy Bud when tracking down the location of a ship-in-a-bottle that had accidentally been tossed with the other bottles and was a gift to Major Ursa by his late father. The pair discovered that the gift formed the centerpiece of the Holy Bud's armor, and the pair fought and destroyed the creature to retrieve it. Doing so awed the kuo-toa, and the tribe, inspired and terrified by Lyra's changeling nature, created a new god: Lie-Ra.
