Davos
The colony and orbital station of Davos was built in the 22nd century at the beginning of the Diaspora, to provide a shipyard, station, and colonial expeditionary logistics base for the Sol.Tellus System.
Infrastructure
Davos is one of the oldest orbital communities, and was initially built as a shipyard, dock, and staging base for Sol.Tellus' colonial expansion program. The initial arcology was anchored to an asteroid towed into position and configured as a torus-shaped station encompassing the asteroid, with five branching arms to accommodate ship docking and provide shipyard services.
Davos has been upgraded, rebuilt, and expanded multiple times during its existence as needs evolved and technology developed. The intial torus has been entirely subsumed in the larger superstructure and functions as an educational institution, museum, and research facility.
