In 2681 the "Manhome Liberation Fleet" assembled in secret at a node on the Th'fiil ("Orion Plot") kiron, engaged the Tellus System Defense Fleet at Davos' Nornbase and destroyed the base. Ares Colony sent reinforcements but a second engagement in which Naval ships stolen from the Kewest Roads at New Miami engaged on the side of the "Liberators" drove them back within the Kuyper Belt. Civil unrest broke out on Davos, thousands died in riots and terrorist actions as system interdiction began. (See: War of Manhome Liberation aka "Orion Wars")
