In 2604 the Intercolonial Health Council suspended shipping to and from the worlds infected by the Double Plague (Double Plague), in an effort to prevent further spread.
The ban was lifted in 2607 in response to a petition lodged with the Interstellar Clearinghouse Academy's College of Population, alleging increasing economic disruption and population hardship on affected worlds. In combination with the apparently unstoppable spread of the disease, there seemed little reason to maintain the blockade.
