Fire fae
Basic Information
Biological Traits
Hair
The most common colour is black, but it is not uncommon for there to be strands, ombre effects or slight shades of red, orange or yellow as well. It's more uncommon to not have black at all. The hair is usually very thick, but otherwise has a wide variety.Eyes
Normal sized iris, invisible pupil. The eyes glow faintly and neutrally have a yellowish orange colour. The iris is only slightly darker than the whites of the eyes. The colour may shift slightly in relation to strong emotions (for example, white for fear, bright yellow for happiness/excitement, bright red for anger, dark red for lust etc). They glow less in relation to sadness/grief/depression, and goes completely black when they die.Ears
Long and pointy.Other physical attributes and traits
Naturally black nails and sharp canines. Some have veins just under their skin that glow in relation to strong feelings. These individuals usually have a high level of internal magic. Fire fae have more or less fireproof skin, but this does not mean they cannot get burned by heat, from example a hot iron. The majority of fire fae cannot swim and they are easily weakened if they are wet for a longer period of time.Common magical abilities
All fire fae have some level of internal fire magic (higher body temperature, faster metabolism, higher tolerance to poisons/drugs/alcohol).- Elemental: earth, electricity, fire
- Physical: speed, strenght
Ecology and Habitats
Due to their internal fire magic, fire fae are very well adapted to living in warm environments.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Their internal fire magic gives them a faster metabolism, which means they need to eat a bit more than average, and at closer than average intervals.
The faster metabolism also makes them more resistant to different kinds of poisons (venomous animal bites, poisonous fruit, drugs, alcohol, etc)

Civilization and Culture
Common Dress Code
As fire fae run very hot, a traditional fire fae folk dress usually have short or no sleeves, and only knee length pants or skirts. Designs are rather simplistic, with browns, yellows and red as the most common colours.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Fire fae have a long history of not getting along with Plant fae and a lot of prejudice and hate still lingers. More in some regions than other, and mostly only on Palir.
Average Height
women: 155-175cm
men: 165-185cm
Average Physique
Very diverse.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Warm shades of yellow, orange and red, sometimes with dark brown or black spots/stripes. Patchy/speckled/dappled skin is also fairly common.
For some the skin tone changes slightly in relation to body temperature (darker with heat, brighter with cold). This is however rather uncommon.
Unless identical twins, no two fire fae look the same. Skin colouration and patterns are all unique.
