Biological Traits

Hair

Brown and red are the most common, followed by black, blond and white. Other colours also occur. It's also very common for them to not have hair at all.

Eyes

Yellow, red, blue and green are all common colours. Normal size iris and round or slitted pupils.

Ears

Rather long and pointy.

Other physical features:

Scaly skin that is very tough and durable under their feet and in their palms, sharp teeth and claws, ridges on different parts of the body. Some have long and sometimes cloven tongues (5-20cm outside the mouth). Not very cold resistant.

Gender Ideals

Women have long been seen as the stronger gender, but there haven't been a lot of gender roles in terms of who does what work, or how they are allowed to present.

Relationship Ideals

Polyamorous marriages used to be a thing, with women being able to have more than one husband. But that is a practice that has mostly gone out of style these days.

Common Dress Code

A traditional reptile fae folk dress is designed more as a protection from the suns, than as a thing of beauty. It's usually a loose, floor length robe with harem pants and a hood or shawl that goes on the head. Colours, patterns and decorations vary from region to region. Shoes have always been optional, as the skin under their feet is tough enough to let them walk barefoot on most surfaces.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

Most homes have a low tub with a rough mat in it where people are required to scrub their feet before entering the house proper. Water is only rarely used, as it is a precious resource.

Very diverse, although women tend to be a bit bigger than men.
