Spider fae

Basic Information

Anatomy

Spider fae have three pairs of arms, defined as primary, secondary and tertiary. The secondary arm pair sits a little below the primary shoulder blades and the tertiary a little above. The primary hands have the highest fine motor skills and the secondary the strongest grip. The tertiary arms are the weakest and has the least fine motor skill.
Most spider fae are very ambidextrous.

Biological Traits

Hair

Black or brown are the most common colours, but blond exists. The hair is usually thick and coarse. Many spider fae grow locs.

Eyes

Spider fae have two sets of eyes, called primary and secondary. The secondary pair sits a little above and between the primary, and gives them a wider field of vision than the average non-spider fae. The eyes are solid black.

Ears

Rather long and pointy.

Common Dress Code

A traditional spider fae folk dress usually has a halter necked and open backed top, either harem pants or skirts and loose fitting robes. The robes are mostly for sun protection, rather than beauty, and they often have hoods. Colours, patterns and decorations vary in different regions.
Some regions also have traditional tattoos or piercings of varying kinds.

History

Spider fae are the fewest in numbers of any race, and are as a society rather poor. When their planet was first colonized they were hunted and shunned. They are still subject to discrimination on many planets, and partially even on their own.
