Today you arrived at the Arcadis facilities. On the surface it looks cold and drab with only a few amenities. There are usually not much trouble but everyone once in a while they have problems with the residents who stay here. Several corporations have attempted to discover what is here but the security teams do a good job of keeping the Rift Raff out of the small settlement.

History
- 024, 1090: The scout ship CSS Dice crash lands on an island 13,000 KM (8000 miles) from the low port of Blue. The crew manage to find a cave that went 3 Km below the surface to a large mine like cave with a tempature around 70 degrees filled with a unknown plant that seems to thrive in the soil in the cave.
- 028, 1090 3I: The crew of the CSS Dice is rescued and goes back to blue. The crew took some of the plants to be sent to multiple corporations and scientest for study. A detailed report of the incident is also sent to the Scouting services.
- 113, 1090 3I : Herbalist from the Umbrella Corporation file for the mineral rights for the island known as Arcadis
- 120, 1090 3I: A expedition leaves for the Island know as Arcadis from the low port of Blue.
- 130, 1090 3I: Three more shuttle crafts depart for the island known as Arcadis. This starts to draw the attention of other corporations.
- 140, 1090 3I: Umbrella Corporation is forced to hire a security team to protect their assets from Corporate sabotage.
- 200, 1090 3I: The freak weather storm known to frequent Blue hits the unprepared base of Arcadis and kills half the workers.
- 014, 1091 3I: Umbrella Corporation once again sends out another Expedition to the Island of Arcadis to reestablish the camp to harvest the precious plant in the discovered Fissure almost a year before.
- 100, 1091 3I: After a successful harvest that nets the Umbrella Corporation 50MCr another expedition is planned to expand the Fissure.
- 30, 1092 3I: Disaster strikes again when 100 belters are killed trying to attempt to expand the Fissure. 1/4 of the Fissure is destroyed.
- 150, 1092 3I: Even with the loss of part of the Fissure the Umbrella Corporation Nets 100MCr doubling their profit from the year before.
- 250, 1095 3I: Disaster Strikes again due to severe weather conditions 3/4 of the camp freezes to death because they could not get supplies needed to keep the advanced base powered up.
- 300, 1095 3I: Umbrella Corporation Triples their net profit form the previous year with 1BRc but at a great cost.
- 100, 1100 3I: Disaster Strikes again for the Umbrella Corporation as once again they try expanding the Fissure. This time they loose 50 percent of the Fissure killing over 500 workers from the extreme cold in a matter of minutes.
- 300, 1101 3I: Umbrella strikes a deal with the sector capitial of Trojan reach to send prisoners to help in the process of harvesting the delicate plant on Arcadis Island. These prisoners are hand picked by the corporation with a chance to get a pardon.
- 300, 1102 3I: Umbrella Corporation turns a net profit earning 25MCr the first profit since the disaster of 1100 3I
- 300, 1103 3I: Umbrella new systems of hand picked prisoners seems to work as the company double their profit to 50MCr with only losing 25 prisoners in the process.
- 300, 1104 3I: Umbrella Corporation makes a net profit of 75MCr this year losing another 25 prisoners.
- 300, 1105 31: Umbrella Corporation turns a net Profit of 200 MCr losing 100 prisoner in the process. No one questions the loss of the prisoner for the past four years. Not one prisoner hand picked has earned a pardon as promised.
Architecture
The residents live in several advanced bases that are strategically placed to combat the extreme weather conditions if the bubble goes down. There are also several canteens placed in between the advanced bases in a habitat modules. several families will share these advanced bases.
Geography
On the surface of this island it is extreme cold conditions and extreme weather conditions as well. There is a bubble that protects the inhabitants that live here. But this bubble is reliant on a power source that has be be imported. The extreme weather conditions hamper the delivery of the this source and sometimes the workers have gone days with out the bubble which cause devastating effects on anything not protected. The ocean that surrounds the island on stormy days also cause problems with flooding and erosion of materials from the salt in the water if the protection bubble is not up. Weather is watched and shipments and supplies are brought in and leave all based on the weather conditions. The mine it self is three miles below the surface and is warm. No one has figured out the heat source but the tempature seems to be always around 70 degrees which is great for the for the plant that is harvested at this location. A fresh water source is also available. Several attempts have been made to expand the mine but the results ended up destroying what they had. At one time this mine housed over 700 herbalist now its down to 250.
Natural Resources
Nepeta cataria, commonly known as catnip, catswort, catwort, and catmint, is a species of the genus Nepeta in the family Lamiaceae, Nepeta cataria is a short-lived perennial, herbaceous plant that grows to be 50–100 cm (20–40 in) tall and wide, and that blooms from late spring to autumn. In appearance, N. cataria resembles a typical member of the mint family of plants, featuring brown-green foliage with the characteristic square stem of the plant family Lamiaceae. The coarse-toothed leaves are triangular to elliptical in shape.[10] The small, bilabiate flowers of N. cataria are fragrant and are either pink in colour or white with fine spots of pale purple. Through research by the Umbrella Corporation they discovered an unexpected result of this plant becoming one of several components used in the making of Anagathics or Antiagathics. The plant like the other components that make this drug is worth millions of Credits on the open market. On the black market who knows what it goes for.
