Angie Wong

Xinyi "Angie" Wong (a.k.a. 黄 心怡)

The daughter of Hamir the Hermit and Ngawang Yeshe, and sister of Wong Ruìkǎn.

Despite being part of a famous magical lineage, she chose to leave Kamar-Taj and abandon her magical studies. She moved to The United States of America, where she studied law at Columbia University.

She currently works as a paralegal, in the offices of Jennifer Walters.

Despite her truncated studies, she does still practise magic, primarily via her familiar, a capuccin monkey called Hei Hei.

Author's Note
Angie is a comics character who isn't canonically related to Wong. However, her surname is Huang, which is an alternate anglisation of Wong, and she's inexplicably magical and about the same age as him, so I just couldn't resist making her Wong's sister who did the magical equivilent of running away from the circus to become an accountant. I also wanted to give Wong some kind of tie to New York to explain why he's always hanging out at the NYC Sanctum, and giving him family in the city works for that!
