Geneva

Geneva is a city in Switzerland, located on Lake Geneva. It is the capital of the Canton of Geneva, and the second most populous city in Switzerland.

It is a worldwide centre of diplomacy, as it hosts the highest number of international organisations of any city. Organisations based in Geneva include the Red Cross, and many United Nations agencies (located primarily in the historic Palace of Nations). The Geneva Conventions, which define War Crimes and the treatment of prisoners and non-combatants in times of war, were signed in the city.

It has been ranked as one of the most important financial centres in the world. It is the thirteenth most expensive city in the world for cost of living, but also has one of the highest per capita average gross earnings in the world.

In 2016, the Palace of Nations was the subject of a terrorist attack by HYDRA, which claimed the lives of six people, including King T'Chakka of Wakanda.
